Sewer Line Repair & Replacement
Sewer line repair, replacement, and trenchless options for homes and commercial properties. Minimal yard disruption.
Sewer Problems Don't Fix Themselves.
When sewage backs up into your home, it's not just disgusting. It's a health hazard. Raw sewage contains bacteria, viruses, and parasites that can make your family sick. And every minute it sits there, it's soaking into your floors, your baseboards, your walls. Sewer line problems don't happen overnight. That tree you love in the front yard? Its roots have been growing into your sewer line for years. That orangeburg pipe from the 1960s? It's been slowly collapsing. By the time you notice a problem, the damage is already significant. Cole's Plumbing repairs and replaces sewer lines across the DFW area. We start with a camera inspection to see exactly what's going on, then give you options that range from spot repairs to full line replacement. We've been solving sewer problems since 2001 and we don't sugarcoat what we find.

Warning Signs
Any of these sound familiar? Call us. Small problems don’t stay small.
- Sewage backing up into the lowest drain in the house
- Multiple drains clogging at the same time
- Gurgling toilets when you run the washing machine
- Sewage smell in the yard or near cleanouts
- Patches of unusually green grass over the sewer line path
- Sinkholes or settling in the yard along the sewer route

How It Works
Sewer work is big. We make sure you understand every step before we start.
Camera inspection first
We never guess at sewer problems. A camera goes down the line so we can see exactly what's wrong: roots, collapse, bellied pipe, offset joints. You see the footage with us. Our service call covers the initial visit.
Options with real numbers
Depending on what the camera shows, your options might include spot repair, pipe bursting, or full excavation and replacement. We quote each option separately so you can compare.
Repair or replace
Spot repairs take half a day. Full line replacements take 1 to 3 days depending on depth and length. We use PVC or HDPE for replacements. Both last 50+ years.
City inspection and backfill
Sewer work requires a city inspection. We schedule it, pass it, then backfill and compact the trench properly. We don't leave you with a sinking yard 6 months later.
Why Cole's
Full Camera Documentation
You see what we see. We record every inspection and walk you through the footage. No vague descriptions of problems you can't verify.
24 Years of Sewer Work
We've seen every type of sewer failure DFW has to offer. Cast iron, clay, orangeburg, PVC. We know what each material does as it ages.
We Don't Oversell
If a spot repair fixes your problem, that's what we recommend. We don't push a full replacement when you don't need one.
Proper Compaction
We compact trench backfill in lifts. This prevents the settling and sinkholes that happen when the fill isn't properly compressed. Your yard stays level.
200+ Five-Star Reviews.
Chad came out the same day we called. He looked at our water heater, told us exactly what was wrong, gave us a price, and got it done that afternoon. No surprises on the bill. We've used other plumbers in the area and this was by far the best experience.
The last plumber we called tried to sell us a whole new system when all we needed was a valve replacement. Chad was honest about what the actual problem was and fixed it for a fraction of what the other company quoted. That's rare.
We had a slab leak and were panicking. Chad walked us through the whole process, explained what he was doing at every step, and his price was fair. He even followed up the next week to make sure everything was holding. This is the only plumber we'll call from now on.
Straight Answers.
The clearest sign is multiple drains backing up simultaneously. If just one drain is slow, it's probably a local clog. If the toilet, shower, and kitchen all back up when you run the washing machine, the main sewer line is the problem. A camera inspection confirms it.
Pipe bursting. We pull a new HDPE pipe through the old one, breaking the old pipe outward as the new one goes in. It requires only two access points instead of a full trench. It costs more than traditional excavation but saves your landscaping, driveway, or any structures over the line.
Every job is different. The range is wide because depth matters a lot — a line buried 3 feet deep is straightforward, a line buried 8 feet under a driveway is a different job entirely. We always provide a detailed written quote before starting work.
Spot repairs: half a day. Full line replacement by excavation: 1 to 3 days. Trenchless: 1 to 2 days. You'll have a working sewer the day we finish.
Standard policies usually don't cover sewer lines. Some insurers offer a sewer line rider for a small monthly add-on. Check your policy. If you have the rider, we work with insurance companies regularly and can provide the documentation they need.
