Whole-House Repipe
Complete repiping for homes with aging or failing pipe systems. Copper and PEX options.
Your Pipes Are Closing Up.
The galvanized pipes in your walls are slowly closing. Right now, mineral deposits are building up inside them, narrowing the opening a little more each year. That's why your shower pressure isn't what it was five years ago. That's why the water looks brownish first thing in the morning. Galvanized steel pipes have a lifespan of 40 to 60 years. If your DFW home was built before 1985, your pipes are at the end of that window or past it. The question isn't if they'll fail. It's when. And a burst pipe inside a wall causes the kind of damage that insurance fights you on. A whole-house repipe replaces every supply line in your home with modern PEX tubing. Cole's Plumbing has repiped over 400 homes since 2001. We do it in 1 to 2 days with minimal wall openings, and your water pressure comes back like the house is brand new.

Signs You Need a Repipe
Any of these sound familiar? Call us. Small problems don’t stay small.
- Brown or rusty water, especially in the morning
- Water pressure has gradually decreased over the years
- Pinhole leaks popping up in different spots
- Visible corrosion on exposed pipes in the garage or basement
- Your home was built before 1985 and still has original plumbing
- You've had 2 or more pipe repairs in the last year

How It Works
Repiping sounds like a massive project. We've done this enough times to make it smooth.
Whole-house assessment
We inspect every accessible pipe, test pressure at multiple fixtures, and check water quality. Our service call covers this assessment. We map out exactly what needs replacing.
Strategic access points
We don't tear open every wall. We plan access points to minimize drywall cuts. Most homes need 8 to 15 small openings, not full wall removals. We mark everything before we cut.
Run new PEX lines
PEX is flexible, corrosion-proof, and lasts 50+ years. We run new hot and cold lines to every fixture in the house. A typical 3-bedroom home takes 1 to 2 days.
Pressure test and patch
We pressure-test every line before we close anything up. Then we patch the drywall openings. You'll need to paint the patches, but the plumbing is done right.
Why Cole's
400+ Homes Repiped
We've done this more times than we can count. 25 years of repiping homes across Carrollton, The Colony, Lewisville, and beyond.
$2M Insurance Coverage
A repipe means working inside your walls. Our $2M liability policy protects your home if anything unexpected happens.
PEX with Brass Fittings
We use Uponor PEX-A with brass expansion fittings. No plastic push-fit connectors that fail in 5 years. This is the system that lasts.
Drywall Patching Included
We patch every opening we make. You just paint. Most plumbers leave you with holes in the wall and a referral to a drywall guy.
200+ Five-Star Reviews.
Chad came out the same day we called. He looked at our water heater, told us exactly what was wrong, gave us a price, and got it done that afternoon. No surprises on the bill. We've used other plumbers in the area and this was by far the best experience.
The last plumber we called tried to sell us a whole new system when all we needed was a valve replacement. Chad was honest about what the actual problem was and fixed it for a fraction of what the other company quoted. That's rare.
We had a slab leak and were panicking. Chad walked us through the whole process, explained what he was doing at every step, and his price was fair. He even followed up the next week to make sure everything was holding. This is the only plumber we'll call from now on.
Straight Answers.
1 to 2 days for most homes. A standard 3-bed, 2-bath home is usually done in a single day. Larger homes with 3+ bathrooms may take 2 days. You'll have water each evening.
No. We work section by section and keep at least one bathroom operational at all times. It's noisy and there will be workers in and out, but you can stay home.
We patch every drywall opening with proper drywall, tape, and mud. We do not paint because matching existing paint color is tricky. Most homeowners touch up the paint themselves or have their painter handle it.
For a repipe, yes. PEX is flexible so it requires fewer connections and smaller wall openings. It doesn't corrode, handles pressure changes better, and costs about 40% less than copper. Copper is a great material but PEX is the better choice for retrofit work.
Every home is different. We price by the fixture, not by some vague square footage formula. You'll get a detailed written quote after we assess the home.
