Water Line Repair & Installation
Main water line repair, replacement, and new installation for homes and businesses across DFW.
A Hidden Leak Adds Up Fast.
That wet spot in your yard that never dries out? It's not drainage. It's your water line. A broken water line is one of those problems that gets worse every single day you ignore it. The leak erodes soil under your foundation. Your water bill climbs every month. And the whole time, you're paying for water that's soaking into the ground. We had a customer in Coppell last year who ignored a wet spot for 6 months. Her water bill had nearly tripled before she called us. Cole's Plumbing has repaired and replaced water lines across the DFW metroplex for 25 years. We locate the leak, give you a straight answer on repair vs. replace, and get your water flowing clean again. Most repairs are done in a single day.

When to Call
Any of these sound familiar? Call us. Small problems don’t stay small.
- Unexplained spike in your water bill
- Wet or soggy spots in the yard that won't dry
- Low water pressure throughout the house
- Discolored water when you first turn on the tap
- Sound of running water when nothing is on
- Visible water bubbling up from the ground near the meter

How It Works
Water line work sounds scary. It doesn't have to be.
Locate the leak precisely
We use electronic leak detection to pinpoint the exact break location. No guessing, no digging up your entire yard. Our service call covers the initial assessment.
Repair or reroute decision
If you have one break on an otherwise healthy copper or PEX line, we repair it. If your line is old galvanized pipe with multiple weak spots, we recommend a full reroute with modern PEX. We explain the tradeoffs so you can choose.
Get it done in one day
Most water line repairs take 3 to 6 hours. A full reroute from the meter to the house takes a full day. Either way, you have clean water by the time we leave.
Why Cole's
$2M Insured and Bonded
Water line work means digging near your foundation. If anything goes wrong, you're fully protected. We carry $2M in liability coverage.
PEX Over Copper, Always
We install PEX for water line reroutes. It doesn't corrode, handles freeze-thaw cycles better, and costs less than copper. Better material, lower price.
We Clean Up After Ourselves
Your yard matters to you. We backfill properly, reseed grass, and leave the site clean. You shouldn't have to fix our mess.
200+ Five-Star Reviews.
Chad came out the same day we called. He looked at our water heater, told us exactly what was wrong, gave us a price, and got it done that afternoon. No surprises on the bill. We've used other plumbers in the area and this was by far the best experience.
The last plumber we called tried to sell us a whole new system when all we needed was a valve replacement. Chad was honest about what the actual problem was and fixed it for a fraction of what the other company quoted. That's rare.
We had a slab leak and were panicking. Chad walked us through the whole process, explained what he was doing at every step, and his price was fair. He even followed up the next week to make sure everything was holding. This is the only plumber we'll call from now on.
Straight Answers.
The biggest clue is your water bill. If it jumped noticeably and your usage hasn't changed, something is leaking. Other signs: wet spots in the yard, low pressure, or the sound of running water when everything is off. Turn off every fixture and check your water meter. If it's still spinning, you have a leak.
Usually, yes. We use electronic detection to find the exact spot. For a single break, we dig a small section, fix it, and backfill. If the pipe has multiple failures, a reroute is smarter than patching. We'll always give you both options.
Every job is different. The big variable is depth — a line buried 18 inches is simpler than one buried 4 feet. We always give you the exact price before starting work.
If you have galvanized pipe and it's already failed once, replace it. Galvanized corrodes from the inside and one break means more are coming. If you have copper or PEX with a single failure point, a repair makes sense.
A spot repair is 3 to 4 hours. A full reroute is a full day, usually 6 to 8 hours. You'll have water back before we leave either way.
